Introduction
Mostly, if we read scientific books or text books, some authors provide historical background of the knowledge they present in the books. But unfortunately, most of the books miss or skip an important period, without which today's sciences would never develop. This is for sure.
The period, which had advanced the understanding of the sciences of nature, scientists will always try to understand the behaviors of nature for our own benefits, is the Arabic or Muslim scientific period. Many says it started approximately from 9th century of solar calendar. But if we think of the factor that triggering the (medieval) Muslims to study and learn sciences, which is the Qur'anul Karim, the Holy Book revealed by God to His last messenger (salallahu 'alaihi wassalaam), we may conclude that Muslim sciences started two years earlier, from the period of the revelation of the Qur'an.
A saying says: "Wise men learn from history." So, do not skip a history, if you are wise enough.
